These quick and easy cheeseburger sliders are baked together on Hawaiian rolls and served straight out of the baking dish, casserole-style.
So yummy! I added some finely chopped onion while cooking the meat, used 93/7 ground turkey, and topped the burgers with sliced dill pickles before baking. Other than that, I followed the recipe. These are so close to White Castle burgers and even better, you can make tweaks to make them healthier, like using wheat buns. If you're worried about how much onion soup mix you're using, just add less at first and more to taste after the meat has cooked. Adding a little water can help the meat soak it up. I will definitely be making these again.
3.23.19 ... https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/178295/slider-style-mini-burgers/ ... While I didn't get any, I got positive comments from those that did. Well, two of the three; one said nothing, which is probably best. ;D Boychild, 21, said "fantastic" & Girlchild, 19, said "Good. Like Hamburger Helper, but better since homemade." I didn't know she'd had HH. Oh, well, she liked this. I used markdown labeled "hard dinner rolls," which I though may be too hard after buying. No one said that. :o Girlchild said she liked the rolls, too. Huh. :O :D ... 4.10.19 ... I froze half of the meat mixture. 'Came across a markeddown package of Hawaiian Rolls & "went with it." Haha. It looks like too much filling & would be if only meat, but it isn't so it isn't. :D The buns have a close-to-grilled crispness. 'More toppings & condiments required for this girl, but that's easy enough to fix. :) Note: Bikerfamily likes Hawaiian Sweet mini sub rolls (precut). I use a gigantic piece of Big Foil (as it's calle
Good cheeseburgers. I made half the recipe with mini-buns. Also, I added bacon pieces. They taste like White Castle hamburgers.
I used small bakery dinner rolls and followed another reviewer's suggestion by not browning meat first. I just spread raw meat mixture in rolls and baked until cooked through (about 45 minutes). I also brushed the tops generously with melted butter. These were good the first night, but the leftovers were AMAZING- just like a Krystal burger!!
Excellent sliders. Very tasty. Kids ate them all up.
